- Me and Jord, Washington, DC -

We have a place to live! Huge sigh of relief.

When we decided to come to Johns Hopkins for the summer for Jord's internship we decided we would give up our place. There were a few reasons we decided this, one being we had lived there for two years and loved every second of it but thought it might be time for a new place. Our lease was ending right at the perfect time. The other being that last summer after paying double rent in both NYC and Charleston, Jord got into his accident, could no longer work, and we lived off of savings for months. We didn't want to do that again.

There have been so many times I wanted to kick myself over the past few weeks because it has been so hard to find a place that fit our timing, our needs, etc. Especially from afar. I kept thinking was double rent really that bad? I mean what's so wrong with losing money right? Haha.

But then a couple of days ago we finally found a place that fit everything we needed and you won't believe it. It is literally 8 houses down from our old place and the same exact townhome layout and everything. Go figure.

I would be lying if I said I'm not super stoked. I'm in love with our "pharmacy school" neighborhood and the location fits us. And not to mention how excited I am that the stress in finding a place is over. I can't tell you how many times the last few days I have sat down at the computer and immediate typed in craigslist. Then I have to remind myself -- we have a place now J. We have a place.

Thanks goodness.
